Published - Statewide Home Language Survey
As part of the Adopted Revisions to 19 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Chapter 89, Subchapter BB effective August 9, 2023, includes a Statewide Home Language Survey Letter that will be given to all students across the state of Texas upon initial enrollment to Texas public schools.

Chapter 89 Amendments - Open for Public Comment
The Proposed Amendments to 19 TAC Chapter 89 subchapter BB are open for public comment until May 22, 2023. Please review the proposed amendments and provide your comments. The proposed effective date for the amendments is August 8, 2023.

Senate Bill 560 - Emergent Bilingual Strategic Plan
The Senate Bill 560 Emergent Bilingual Strategic Plan is timely in providing a blueprint for support needed to bring intentionality and focus to the continued increase of emergent bilingual students in classrooms across Texas. Our goal for Texas is to ensure that schools and staff are properly equipped to support to our EB students on an individualized basis, because all students deserve access to the same programs and instruction that could lead to academic success.
